MOJO Shrimp Macafredo | Shrimp Pasta in Cast Iron

When macaroni and alfredo have a love child, you get "Macafredo." We decided to MOJO up some shrimp and bacon and toss it into this awesome pasta dish. You're going to love this cast iron skillet full of carb-loaded cheesy goodness!

You'll need:

1 lb of shrimp

Diced garlic

Cilantro, chopped

6 slices of cubed bacon

Italian blend cheese

Fettuccine

1 & 1/2 c. heavy cream

1 stick of butter

Cajun seasoning

MOJO BBQ rub

Season 1 lb of shrimp heavily with Cajun seasoning and MOJO BBQ rub and set them aside. Season a large pot of water with MOJO GPS and bring to a boil. Add fettuccine noodles and prepare according to package directions. To a saucepan over medium-low heat, add a stick of butter, heavy cream, MOJO GPS, and 2 cloves of diced garlic. Stir and allow to simmer on low for about 5 minutes. Now add 1/4 cup of shredded Italian blend cheese and stir well until it is melted. Add avocado oil to your cast iron skillet, then add cubed bacon. Cook the bacon about half way, then add shrimp and cook about 2 minutes. Toss the shrimp and bacon with another 2 cloves of diced garlic and chopped cilantro and continue cooking for about 2 more minutes. Add the drained fettuccine noodles to the bacon and shrimp in the skillet and toss. Pour the cheese sauce over the noodles, shrimp, and bacon and toss again. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro and enjoy your "Macafredo!"
